Day 3 in Breckinridge

Day 3 began with and early start so we could get to Frisco where we were renting bikes for the morning.  They loaded all of us and our bikes up and drove us up a mountain a ways to a drop-off point where we would begin our downhill ride.
Excitedly anticipating our adventure!
 The "kids" before the ride
Our awesome view from our drop-off point...yes those are rain clouds and it was a bit colder than I had anticipated it being - hence the no jacket
Jake getting ready to load Porter up for his ride
 Gavin's ready to go
Kylee is super excited for Uncle Tyler to give her the ride of her life!
 Michelle, Ian and Brandon
 Lauren and John
The Buddy

We rode through a little town at one point and there was some go-kart racing, so we took a little detour from the ride...
Buying our tickets
The "stay-behinders" as I dubbed them.
Our bike ride put Porter right to sleep
Johnny is being intensely pursued by Tyler
Tyler looking a little less intense
Ahhh....stop passing me!  I always get the slow one...today was no exception.
Lauren and Kylee cruising the course
Uhh...Uncle Bridger do you think you could scoot over a bit?  I think Gavin's leg room got monopolized a tad.
Unfortunately, there weren't enough karts for Jake and Brandon so they raced with the next bunch.  This is how Jake looked for most of the race...alone.  He too got a super slow kart.
**post edit: Jake informed me that he did not have the slowest...he had the fastest one, and that's why he was so far ahead and not behind.  Ooops**
Brandon giving Jake a gentle nudge
Cheering section

Back to the bike ride...
 The gang minus Grandma Karen
Now, minus Bridger
The guy that dropped us off told us about a few things along the path to stop and see, one of which being a spot along the river where this hippy couple comes every year and makes different rock formations.  I can't remember how long he said they have been doing it, but it was somewhere around 30 years.
 An alligator/crocodile
Porter "rearranging" some of the formations...oops.  Definitely NOT a child-proofed place.  Sorry hippies.
 Family pic
Not sure what this is...maybe a duck or something
Relax, Enjoy, Welcome
Porter and Jake having some fun...maybe not the safest place to do this, but what a great picture it made
Michelle, Brandon, Bridger and Johnny waiting for me to stop taking pictures of rocks
 Lauren and Gavin
 Porter taking another snooze

After our bike ride we cleaned up and got some lunch and then some of us headed off to a movie while Michelle and Lauren were so kind to stay home with the kiddos.
Bring on the popcorn...how you doin there Jake?
I think the snacks might have been better than the movie
 Porter snacking at home
Kylee reading...she hadn't even begun Kindergarten on this trip and she was a reading machine!  She is mostly self-taught and amazing!
Porter with one of his blankies...he loooves them!

Then on to dinner...
It was raining pretty hard so our drivers were nice enough to drop us at the curb...John got a little wet
 Brandon...our other wet driver
Porter giving high-fives to Tyler while Grandpa John is very serious about checking some scores on the tv
My mom always gives Jake a hard time about the faces he pulls in pictures...so he gives her an even harder time by making sure he pulls a face in all of her pictures
Kylee is ready to dig in
 Bridger, Lauren and Michelle approve
So do Ian, Brandon and Gavin
 Tyler, Porter, Jake
The group shot my mom always insists on taking by the restaurant sign...tonight we were all particularly enthused because of the pouring rain outside

And here is how we ended the night...
Bridger is thoroughly entertaining the kids with his pregnant belly trick
Look...we can do it too!
