Weekend Wrap-up

It's official....Jake and I are the Diamondbacks lucky charms. We have been to 2 games this year and they have won both of them! Now, some of you may be thinking that it's just luck, but, if you take a look at how many times the D-backs have actually won this season, the odds are stacked against us (oh, and they had also just lost 10 games in a row) . I still love them, even if they are having an "off" season.

You would have thought they just won the World Series with their post-game celebrations...
Wahoo!
On Saturday, Porter and I met Grandma Karen at the Train Park for a birthday party she was invited to.

Inspecting the train before take-off, or whatever it's called when trains start moving.
Going through the tunnel.
Relaxing with Grandma.
It was a fun first trip to the train park, but I won't be going back anytime soon. It was sooo hot!

Later that day we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Thurston's for a BBQ and some pool time. Grandma Wendy had called the day before letting us know she bought a pool float for Porter and she was anxious for him to try it out. And sadly, this was Porter's first time in the pool, I can't believe it took me so long!

I'm liking this!
Grandpa Kody, taking Porter for a spin around the pool.

Ok, now I'm relaxed.

Porter is one lucky kiddo. To see him on that sporty float, just relaxing and kicking back is how a sweet boy like yours should spend his summer.
You are totally the D-backs lucky charm. No question about it.

I miss the train park. We called it the choo choo park, and yes it gets very very hot & miserable.
